JUST A GIRL WITH A GOOD RIGHT HOOK.

Dear homie,

I guess you’re here because you want to know a little about me. Here goes nothing. I started crocheting when I was about 10 years old - my mother handed me a 5mm crochet hook and some leftover yarn because I wanted to be just like her.

Well, that and I hated sitting still. Little did either of us know the chokehold this hobby would have on my life.

Dear homie, at it’s core is a love letter to all of you. It’s about creating community, giving and receiving love, and making some pretty cool shit along the way. You’re all my homies and I do my best to make unique things that people love, and that I love making.

Thanks for being here with me - and for helping me keep my mom’s memory alive. All the work I do is dedicated to her.

Love your pal,
Nicole

KEY TERMINOLOGY

Dear homie,

I get it, this crafting stuff sounds pretty technical.

Let me break it down for you with a few key terms.

  • Uses yarn and a single hook. This crafting technique cannot be duplicated with a machine, meaning anything authentically crochet is handmade - 100% of the time.

  • Uses yarn and two needles. Although it is a technical crafting technique, this can be duplicated with a machine and easily mass produced.

  • The cutest darn bunny you ever did see! They have big ears, big eyes, and are oh so smushable. Lovey Bunnies are ready for all life's adventures - no matter how old you are.

  • Any blanket made by Dear Homie, crochet has inherit magic powers. I can’t explain it - but I promise once you experience it, it’ll make sense. Kids love them, adults can’t let them go.
